charlie’s 2 year session October 29, 2008

Charlie is our best friends’ son and he recently turned two.  It seems like we were planning their baby shower just yesterday… where does the time go?  I have had the priviledge of photograping this beautiful child since the moment he was born… I think I may have had my camera in poor Charlie’s face more times than not!  It’s a wonder he recognizes me without it! 

We had a great time this past weekend during Charlie’s 2 year session.  We picked a great little park in Canton, where Charlie was able to run all over the place and play with leaves and rocks – what every 2 year old boy wants to do, right?  Here are a few sneak peeks for you guys… enjoy!

I had a great family session last weekend in Canton.  I was excited to try out a couple of new locations in Cherokee county.  We started the session with a few shots by the old historic Rock Barn & then headed to nearby Heritage Park – both of which ended up being great spots.  I have had the honor of photographing this family before but it had been a couple of years, so it’s amazing to see how much the kids have grown since our last session!  They are a beautiful family, inside and out, so I am always excited to work with them!  Here are some of my favorites from our session… hope you guys enjoy!

It’s so hard to believe that Ellie Grace’s 1st year has already come and gone… my how time flies!  Ellie was one of my first newborns to photograph… she’s grown and changed so much since her first meeting with my camera when she was just 10 days old!

I met up with Ellie & her parents last week for her 1 year session.  Jim and Julie did their research and picked out a great spot for their session at The Mable House in Mableton.  I was excited to try out a new location and some new props, including an old wagon that should be great for toddler sessions (thanks, Harry!).  Ellie was a blast, as always, with her sweet smiles and cute personality.  Here are some of my favorites from our time together last week!  Happy 1st birthday, little monkey! 

buford baby October 11, 2008

I photographed a maternity session last weekend for the sweetest couple who live in a beautiful home right off of downtown Buford, Georgia.  The moment I met them I knew we were going to have fun… not to mention the mommy-to-be had already requested we get some shots on the railroad tracks near their home.  I have always wanted to try out pictures on railroad tracks but have never had the perfect opportunity, until this session!  Of course when they asked if we could incorporate their dog into some of the shots, I was game!  I instantly fell in love with the beautiful “Vivi”… she was such a great dog model for me!  I think we captured some really special memories for this family as they await the arrival of their little girl… here are some sneak peeks for the mommy & daddy-to-be!  Hope you guys enjoy!

 

senior session October 6, 2008

The month of October has been a busy one for me already.  I’m so thankful for all the opportunities I’ve had lately and can’t wait to see what the future holds for Karen Baker Photography!  Fall is always a busy time for family sessions, but I can never pass up the opportunity to do senior portraits!  These are quickly becoming my favorite sessions! 

I had a great time last week taking senior pictures for Whitney, who is a senior at North Gwinnett this year.  She was so much fun to work with and was so patient with the wind – of course our session would fall on the one windy day last week!  I am almost finished editing this session, but wanted to put a few sneak peeks up for now… hope you guys enjoy! 

caleb dean October 2, 2008

After having the opportunity to do a maternity session with Caleb’s mom several weeks ago, I was excited to hear about his arrival and have the chance to shoot his newborn session last weekend!  He was the perfect newborn for me… awake when we wanted him awake, asleep when we wanted him to sleep & I never once heard him cry!  He is such a beautiful little boy and I can already see that he’s stolen his parents’ hearts! 

I am having so much fun editing this session… I think Caleb and my camera are going to be the best of friends!  Here are some sneak peeks for Mom & Dad to see!  Hope you guys enjoy!
