waiting… August 25, 2008

As a new mother myself, I can now truly appreciate the excitement and anticipation that comes with waiting to meet your baby for the first time.  Sometimes it seems like the days, weeks and months just inch by until you can hardly stand it any longer… other times it seems like the months have flown by and before you know it you are holding that beautiful blessing in your arms!  Either way, the months spent carrying your baby are an incredibly special time as you learn to appreciate just how amazing God’s gift of life truly is.  I love having the opportunity to photograph that time for new mothers, so they can always remember just how beautiful it really was. 

There are so many people anxiously awaiting the arrival of Baby Caleb – although none more anxious than his Mom & Dad I am sure!  I am glad he waited just a little while longer, though, so that I had the opportunity to fit in a quick maternity session!  We even got a few shots with mom & dad’s “first born”, Bailey!  Here are some sneak peeks from our session this past weekend.  Now we’re ready for Caleb to make his big debut… stay tuned for his newborn session in the weeks to come!   

senior portraits August 18, 2008

I was really excited when I got the call to do this session… I LOVE doing senior portraits!  They are always so much fun, especially when I have a great subject like this one!  Kimberly was willing to try out all my ideas and she and her mom suggested such a great session location!  I photographed this session this past weekend at Collins Hill Park in Lawrenceville.  What a great park… there were so many different spots we could use, I could have kept snapping pictures all day!  Here are some sneak peeks for Kimberly and her family… thanks so much, guys, for allowing me to be a part of such a special milestone in your lives! 

Christmas cards August 11, 2008

beautiful berry August 6, 2008

I was excited to have the opportunity to photograph a session last weekend on the beautiful campus of Berry College in Rome, Georgia.  There were so many great spots to use… it was hard to fit them all in during our session!  I was honored to photograph a one-year session for Jared, who will be celebrating his 1st birthday on the 7th!  I can remember when Jared was first born, so it is hard to believe his first year has already passed.  He is a beautiful little boy with two of the sweetest parents… so I enjoyed every minute of this session.  I feel fortunate that Alex and Gisela asked me to be a part of this special time in their son’s life!  Here are several of my favorites from our session…
